Our suggestion is to find out quickly whether or not you are heading the right direction is get some on Camera testing as well as training if you are interested in getting out for auditions for Film, Television or Commercials. There are some great acting schools in Toronto, the one the agency highly recommends is the Toronto Academy of Acting for Film & Television based on their training, teachers and assessments given out.
